How to change childrens wallpaper the easy way
from:
If you think that the wallpaper on your childrens room looks dull, it would be the perfect time to change it. Having a makeover is not that hard if you take it step by step. You can start the makeover by looking for the best childrens wallpaper design that will best fit the room.
If you had an old childrens wallpaper pasted on your childs room, it can be quite hard but you can take it off slowly by following some tips. Choosing childrens wallpaper wisely is important so that your child wont get bored with his environment.
You could use a little help so that stripping off that old childrens wallpaper will not be a burden and it wont take all day long. If you want to try the do-it-yourself, you can start off by soaking the wall with water.
Soaking all the section of the wall that has wallpaper for a few minutes will soften the property of the childrens wallpaper and will strip of by itself on some parts. If it starts stripping off, you can now easily remove it by your hands or with the use of a tool. You can use a sponge to rub and soak the childrens wallpaper with water.
Using warm water will be helpful so that it gets soaked easily. Remember that you should not let it dry for too long or else, you will not be able to remove it when it dries up. If you want it fast, you can borrow a professional steamer or you can use a clothes steamer if you have.
After that, you can start soaking all the covered parts of the wall. After the section has been soaked and damped, you can run a paper tiger tool which is normally used to scrape off the wallpaper. After you have run the paper tiger to the wall, you can steam the section for another round so that everything will really be soaked and wet.
You can use hot water to spray to the wall and add a fabric softener to make it easier to remove. After you have sprayed hot water and fabric softener, you can run the paper tiger again and steam it again. Make sure that the curling edges are well scraped because it is not easy to remove.
You can use a blade to scrape off the wallpaper easier especially on rough edges. You can repeat the process all over again until the wallpaper is completely removed. When using the paper tiger, make sure that you dont use it harshly so that you will not hurt the walls.
After you have completely removed the old childrens wallpaper, you can now start to patch up the new childrens wallpaper design that you have just bought. Make sure that the design that you have chosen will match the theme of the room.
It would be nice to ask the decision of your child as to what kind of childrens wallpaper she likes to have in her room. This is important so that you dont get to change the childrens wallpaper on your childs room frequently.
Let childrens wallpaper give life to your childs room so that she can enjoy staying in her own room. Add more artsy designs and stuffs on it to make it more fabulous.
